Egypt signs $1bn Turkish loan deal

Egypt signed a deal on Sunday to loan US$1bn from Turkey, half of the aid package Ankara promised Cairo earlier this month, Egypt's state news agency reported.

UAE's First Gulf Bank eyes five-year bond issue, launch soon


Abu Dhabi-listed First Gulf Bank plans to issue a five-year, benchmark-sized dollar-denominated bond imminently, arranging banks said on Monday.
Early price talk was seen at 220 basis points over midswaps but market sources expect this to tighten at launch, although this will depend on demand for the deal.
FGB's existing 2017 maturity - a US$500m Islamic bond, or sukuk, was yielding about 2.7 percent on Monday, according to Thomson Reuters data, at a z-spread of about 207.6 basis points.

Arabtec JV wins $1.08bn loan for Abu Dhabi terminal

A consortium of UAE banks on Monday announced the signing of a AED4bn ($1.08bn) loan with the joint venture picked to build the Midfield Terminal Building at Abu Dhabi's International Airport.

Mumtalakat to issue $97.7m Islamic bond


Bahraini sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat has priced a 300 million ringgit ($97.7m) five-year sukuk on September 7 via Standard Chartered and CIMB Islamic, Reuters has reported. The murabaha-structured deal is the first by the AA2 (Ram) rated borrower in the ringgit market and has been issued off its three billion ringgit sukuk programme. The issue date for the sukuk will be October 4, while the maturity date is October 3, 2017. The profit rate is 5.5%.
